Our qualified Substance Abuse Professional is able to complete evaluations for employees in safety sensitive positions regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT). We promise to provide SAP services in line with Federal Department of Transportation guidelines. According to the U.S DOT, when testing positive or refusing to test, you are prohibited from performing any safety-sensitive duties under any DOT-regulated employer until you have seen a Substance Abuse Professional and completed the return-to-duty process. SAP Evaluations Available Nationwide
Employees responsible for safety-sensitive functions in the transportation industry must provide a safe work environment for co-workers and the millions of people who travel in many ways throughout the nation. The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has established work rules in order to maintain a safe work environment, including rules concerning drug use and alcohol misuse. A substance abuse professional, or SAP, evaluates employees who have violated DOT drug and alcohol testing regulations and makes recommendations for the course of treatment or education, follow-up testing, and aftercare, as defined by the US DOT.
Holding a license as a physician, social worker, psychologist, or having another type of license or certification as a therapist or counselor is a requirement for being a SAP. It is their job to keep the public safe and to ensure that drivers who have been through the return-to-duty process are able to return to safety-sensitive positions.
