The Substance Abuse Professional on our staff who is qualified can complete evaluations for employees in safety sensitive positions regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT). We are committed to providing SAP services per Federal Department of Transportation guidelines. You are not allowed to perform any safety-sensitive duties under any DOT-regulated employer if you test positive or refuse to test, according to the U.S DOT. You have to see a Substance Abuse Professional and complete the return-to-duty process first. We offer a variety of services to choose from.
SAP Evaluations Available Nationwide
The employees with safety-sensitive functions in the transportation industry have the responsibility of creating a safe work environment for their fellow workers and the millions of people who travel in various ways all over the nation. In order to ensure a safe work environment, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has established work rules, including rules on drug use and alcohol misuse. A substance abuse professional, as defined by the US Department of Transportation, is a person who evaluates employees who have violated DOT drug and alcohol testing regulations and makes recommendations for the course of treatment or education, follow-up testing, and aftercare.
Holding a license as a physician, social worker, psychologist, or having another type of license or certification as a therapist or counselor is a requirement for being a SAP. Their duty is to protect the public interest and ensure that drivers who go through the return-to-duty process are fit to return to safety-sensitive positions.

Mr. Collins will recommend an appropriate education and/or treatment program for you based on your specific needs, which include the presence and severity of your drug or alcohol problem, if one is identified. Mr. Collins identifying the level of drug and/or alcohol use will enable him to make a recommendation about education and/or treatment.
