Our Substance Abuse Professional is qualified and trained to complete evaluations for employees in safety sensitive positions regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT). We are committed to providing SAP services that follow Federal Department of Transportation guidelines. You are not allowed to perform any safety-sensitive duties under any DOT-regulated employer if you test positive or refuse to test, according to the U.S DOT. You have to see a Substance Abuse Professional and complete the return-to-duty process first. We would be happy to tell you more about what we do.
SAP Evaluations Available Nationwide
Employees responsible for safety-sensitive functions in the transportation industry must provide a safe work environment for co-workers and the millions of people who travel in many ways throughout the nation. Establishing work rules, including rules on drug use and alcohol misuse, is how the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) ensures a safe work environment. A substance abuse professional, as defined by the Department of Transportation, is someone who evaluates employees who have failed a DOT drug or alcohol test and makes recommendations for treatment, education, follow-up testing, and aftercare.
You must have a license as a physician, social worker, psychologist, or have another type of license or certification as a therapist or counselor to be a SAP. It is their job to keep the public safe and to ensure that drivers who have been through the return-to-duty process are able to return to safety-sensitive positions.

A qualified SAP will meet with you to ask questions about your violation, drug and alcohol use history, employment history, abuse history, family history, and any other relevant information.
