Our Substance Abuse Professional is qualified and trained to complete evaluations for employees in safety sensitive positions regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT). We are committed to providing SAP services per Federal Department of Transportation guidelines. According to the U.S DOT, when testing positive or refusing to test, you are prohibited from performing any safety-sensitive duties under any DOT-regulated employer until you have seen a Substance Abuse Professional and completed the return-to-duty process. SAP Evaluations Available Nationwide
Those employees with safety-sensitive functions in the transportation industry are in charge of maintaining a safe work environment for their colleagues and the millions of people who travel in different ways all over the nation. The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has established work rules in order to maintain a safe work environment, including rules concerning drug use and alcohol misuse. As defined by the DOT, a substance abuse professional is a person who evaluates employees who have violated drug and alcohol testing regulations to make recommendations for treatment, education, follow-up testing, and aftercare.
SAP’s must be a licensed physician, social worker, psychologist, or otherwise licensed and certified therapist or counselor.
It is the responsibility of these individuals to protect public interest and ensure that drivers returning from the return-to-duty process are fit to return to safety-sensitive positions.

Mr. Collins will identify the level of drug and/or alcohol use in order to make the recommendation about education and/or treatment.

For those who are not struggling with alcohol or drugs, it can be completed in a few days. It can take months for those that are suffering from an alcohol or drug addiction. This includes the initial evaluation, education, treatment.
