Our qualified Substance Abuse Professional is trained to complete evaluations for employees in safety sensitive positions regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT). We promise to provide SAP services in line with Federal Department of Transportation guidelines. According to the U.S DOT, you are not permitted to carry out any safety-sensitive duties under any DOT-regulated employer if you test positive or refuse to test. SAP Evaluations Available Nationwide
The employees with safety-sensitive functions in the transportation industry are responsible for a safe work environment for their co-workers and for the millions of people who travel in many ways throughout the nation. The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has established work rules in order to maintain a safe work environment, including rules concerning drug use and alcohol misuse. A substance abuse professional, or SAP, evaluates employees who have violated DOT drug and alcohol testing regulations and makes recommendations for the course of treatment or education, follow-up testing, and aftercare, as defined by the US DOT.
In order to be a SAP, you must have a license as a physician, social worker, psychologist, or have another type of license or certification as a therapist or counselor. It is their job to keep the public safe and to ensure that drivers who have been through the return-to-duty process are able to return to safety-sensitive positions.
